Whether you choose cremation or burial, in place of worship or in a woodland, I can help you craft the perfect ceremony to honour the deceased person. Whether its a relative or a friend, young, middle aged, or at the end of a long life.
I am an accredited Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor. I have been moved to offer this service as a natural extension of the ‘one to one’ work I do. It draws in all my many skills of writing, speaking, organising events and approaching human emotion with tact and empathy.
I would identify myself as atheist, but I am comfortable to include any prayers or hymns that are appropriate to you and to the occasion, or indeed any expression of the spiritual self or none.
The services I offer:
Meeting with you and anyone else who wants to be involved. Putting together a biography. Helping choose music, poems, readings and to order them into a coherent ceremony. Liaising with undertakers and other professionals. Greeting guests and facilitating the proceedings at a crematorium, burial ground or funeral venue. Ensuring the smooth running of the day through to the wake if needed.
I work around the Morecambe Bay area of North Lancashire, Westmoreland, and into the Yorkshire Dales too.
